The Olympics is currently hosting its first virtual sports event, the Olympic Virtual Series, in which competitors can compete in five specific sports: motorsport, cycling, baseball, sailing, and rowing. For example, cycling competitions take place at Zwift that allow cyclists and cycling coaches with your computer, phone or tablet. Strangely, motorcycle racing competitions take place exclusively at Gran Granism.

You may have noticed that none of the games that you can join with Esports, such as Overwatch, used to host World Cup matches where players represented their country. At least for now, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is intending to host the Games.

“I think it’s right that we remain an Olympic-focused organization,” IOC Sports Director Kit McConnell told The Verge.
