What the majority of fans already thought, Riot Games has now verified. The 2022 League of Legends Worlds anthem “STAR WALKIN'” will be performed by Lil Nas X at the opening ceremony of the Worlds finals on November 5, according to the organization.

As part of a joint marketing effort with Riot, Lil Nas X received the honorary title of “President of League of Legends” last month. The campaign’s centerpiece is “STAR WALKIN’,” which certainly represents Riot’s largest musical cooperation for a Worlds song in the 11-year history of the competition.

According to Riot’s global head of esports, Naz Aletaha, “the World Final stage will be packed with icons, from the two finest LoL Esports teams in the world to the Opening Ceremony roster.” We are thrilled to welcome these critically recognized performers from around the world to Worlds, a stunning celebration of the finest of League.

The opening ceremony of the Worlds finals will feature a highly constructed live rendition of “STAR WALKIN’,” which Lil Nas X has already performed on his own personal tour. The Chase Center in San Francisco will host the Worlds finals.

Jackson Wang, a singer, will also play at the Worlds finals. His new song, “Fire to the Flame,” is a marketing tune for League’s new Empyrean skin range. In addition to a premium version of the skin created in association with Lil Nas X, the skin line will include a skin for K’Sante, the newest champion in the League.

On Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. CT, the opening ceremony of the 2022 League Worlds finals will start.
