According to data analyst firm Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile grossed nearly $ 300 million in July 2021 and became the highest-grossing mobile game in the world.

This revenue has increased by 26.70% since July 2020. It was also higher than in June 2021, when PUBG Mobile grossed $ 213.8 million. The increase could be attributed to the start of the new season and the start of the Royale Pass this July.

Most of the money came from PUBG Mobile, which China has re-launched as the Peacekeeper Elite (also known as Game for Peace). The game accounts for 68.4% of PUBG Mobile’s total revenue, with about 6.7% coming from the US and 6% from Turkey.

According to reports, PUBG Mobile was the highest-grossing game on Apple’s App Store a few months ago, but ranked seventh on the Google Play Store.

Honor of Kings, a MOBA developed by Tencent for China, was the second highest-grossing mobile game last month. It earned $ 231.20 million, 94.7% of which came from China. MiHoYo’s Genshin effect, Niantic’s Pokemon Go and Roblox are the other games in the top 5 games.

Sensor Tower only monitors revenue from the App Store and Google Play. Because Google’s service has been shut down in China, Android-powered smartphone users in the country use third-party services to download and pay for the game. Actual revenue for these games is likely to be slightly higher.
