Nearly a month before the fifth Overwatch League season kicks off, London Spitfire have sacked Owen “Prov1de” Warner, the club announced today. “Recently we were informed of a breach of the code of conduct involving our contracted players,” London Spitfire said in a Twitter post. “We have already parted ways with Prov1de.”

Owen “Prov1de” Warner was selected by London Spitfire in November last year as part of its Overwatch rebuild.

This is the second time Prov1de, formerly known as Slur, has left the Overwatch League after a scandal. In 2020, he was ousted by the Los Angeles Valiants after being accused of racism in the past. He apologized for the incident and was later cleared to play in the Overwatch Contenders, returning to the league himself.
