Fans and players of VALORANT will have the opportunity to create their own comics set in the VALORANT universe thanks to a partnership between Riot Games and digital comic platform WEBTOON.

Fans of VALORANT are urged to showcase their artistic abilities with the start of this next contest. They’ll need to “bring to life” the “Y GECELER” agent trailer for Fade, which was made into a fan art of a multi-panel comic and released earlier this year. In that clip, VALORANT operatives Cypher, Sova, Neon, and Breach set out for Istanbul, Turkey on a mission to apprehend Fade.

Fans who enter the competition are urged to remake the trailer in their own distinctive way, using inspiration from the “audio logs” of the in-game event. The deadline for contest entries is August 23.

Four grand prize winners will receive “one-hour brainstorming sessions” with the VALORANT premium content team as part of the contest’s major prize package. The victors of that session will be able to design and make a gun buddy for a future combat pass in VALORANT. According to Riot, a total of ten winners will be highlighted on WEBTOON, VALORANT’s official website, and social media platforms.

Fans of VALORANT will be able to upload fan art or a whole 20-panel comic to the VALORANT x WEBTOON site. The submission period will run from August 23 through September 18. The contest’s winners will be revealed between September 19 and October 5.
