Asus, one of the world’s leading PC makers, recently unveiled the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX Gaming Monitor, the world’s first Gaming Monitor. “4K endgame” technology will have HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1.
This is a good thing because HDMI 2.1 is a big upgrade after HDMI 2.0 that can be used to transmit images up to 48Gbps (up from 18Gbps) to 128Gbps with compression. It also supports some special features like Auto Low Latency and Dynamic HDR.
It’s not over the endgame yet (Asus plans to release the HDMI 2.1 gaming monito next month).
In this case, Asus claims that the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX can display up to 1,400nits with HDR content and 500 nits for SDR content. It was created for the purpose of Creators and Professionals, rather than Gamers.
The Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX is a 4K monitor with a 144hz refresh rate and G-Sync Ultimate display technology to support smooth screen speeds.
