ASRock has updated the DeskMini series with the DeskMini X600, which it is marketing as the ‘world’s first’ AMD Socket AM5 Mini STX system. The ASRock DeskMini X600 will also support DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0 SSDs when it launches in later this year, among other modern hardware.

The DeskMini X600 is another mini-PC that ASRock has announced but not released. To recap, the DeskMini X600 was first seen in December 2022 alongside the DeskMeet X600 at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia. According to ASRock, the DeskMini X600 series contains the following highlights:

[The] DeskMini X600 series is the world’s first AMD AM5 Mini STX Platform. It supports AMD AM5 65W CPU and provides two DDR5 SO-DIMMs, bringing outstanding computing power and graphics performance. DeskMini X600 series offers two SATA ports, two M.2 slots including Blazing M.2 Gen5 SSD, super-fast 2.5G LAN and three video outputs for maximum expandability and functionality in the mini size.

In other words, all DeskMini X600 models will be compatible wit Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 series APUs up to the Ryzen 9 7900 and Ryzen 7 8700G, respectively. Also, the mini-PC will combine these 65 W parts with up to a 47 mm tall cooler, plus 96 GB of RAM and four storage solutions split evenly between M.2 2280 and SATA slots. However, the DeskMini X600 is too small to accommodate a dedicated GPU, unlike the DeskMeet X600.

Specifically, the former measures 155 x 155 x 80 mm, which corresponds to a 1.92-litre case volume. Still, the DeskMini X600 contains three dedicated video outputs, as well as four USB ports and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection. A release date remains a mystery for now, although this also applies to the DeskMeet X600 and Jupiter X600. For reference, the DeskMini X600 will ship with the following ports:
