Recently, Apex Legends was released on mobile phones, and surprisingly, Apex Legends Mobile and PUBG Mobile were created by the same studio, Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios.

Apex Legends breaks record on PC and console EA Respawn Entertainment sees potential in mobile gaming market and vows to bring battlefields to smartphones as well. The company first said in October 2019 that it would launch a mobile version of Apex Legends. Which studio is better at doing this than the developers of PUBG Mobile, who have shown that they can take games made for a larger game setup and streamline them to run smoothly on phones?

According to a post on Lightspeed and Quantum Studios’s website, the developer claims that Apex Legends Mobile is wholly owned by Respawn Entertainment. One of the main differences between PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile is that PUBG Mobile is promoted by Tencent and Apex Legends Mobile is promoted by EA.

Apex Legends Mobile is now available in limited regional launches in 10 countries around the world. A global release for the game is set for later this year. Initial responses for Apex Legends Mobile from regional launch were positive with a 4.2 rating on the App Store.
