Intel, commonly known as the CPU maker for PCs, is producing GPUs to compete with AMD and NVIDIA. Last night, through its website as well as its Twitter account, Intel officially confirmed the presence of their powerful GPU.

According to a statement on Intel’s Twitter account, the Intel Arc is Intel’s most powerful GPU and was designed to compete with AMD and NVIDIA. Intel will release a GPU called Alchemist under the Intel Arc brand for partner companies to integrate into their desktop and laptop computers in the near future.

The GPU (Alchemist), which will be officially launched next year, is based on Intel’s own Xe-HPG mini-architecture. The GPU will also support key features such as Mesh Shading, Variable Rate Shading, Video Upscaling and Real-Time Ray Rracing. In addition, Intel has promised that GPUs under the Intel Arc brand will also receive functionality similar to AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).
