Recently, there was a sad news that Stephen Wilhite, the creator of GIF, died at the age of 74 due to Kovid-19 disease.

Stephen Wilhite started creating GIF or Graphics Interchange Format during his time at CompuServe during the 1980s, and to this day GIF is widely used for reaction, messaging, as well as comedy. Through the Internet and so on. His first goal in creating this GIF was to share high-quality graphics (“High-quality, High-resolution graphics”) during the 1980s, a time when Internet speeds were not as fast as they are today.

Years later, he also received the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for creating this GIF.

Well, this is sad news, and I pray for Stephen Wilhite’s soul to die.
